New York Intergroup has approved a new Chip Committee, whose responsibility will be to maintain an inventory and process all orders for anniversary chips. These chips are generally featured at our First Things First morning meetings at The Realization Center, as well as at the Friday 5:45 pm Beginners Meeting. David C. has been elected Committee Chair, and Lazaros S. will serve as Chip Coordinator.
-
A unified version of the Sexual Recovery Plan, which combines variants of three previous formats, is now available on the SCA NY website.
-
Total of all meeting donations to NY Intergroup during April were $903.23. Our April expenses were $1,859.63, the majority of which was for the research, production and first large order for our new Chip inventory.
-
NY Intergroup also gave $295.96 to SCA’s International Service Organization in April.
-
NY Intergroup also hosted SCA’s ISO annual business meetings over the weekend of April 29th-May 1st. The ISO is, in effect, the Intergroup of all SCA Intergroups, serving all of the USA and overseas.
-
This annual ISO meeting serves as a forum at which the various SCA inter groups from around the world get together (in person and/or thru conference calls) to discuss, approve and implement various services that are common to all of SCA.
-
Such services include literature: regulating its supply world-wide, approving and producing new literature, plus translating existing literature (such as 4-Folds) into other languages.
-
The ISO is also in the process of expanding and modernizing the SCA International Website, whose changes will become effective later this year.
-
The ISO is setting up an out-of-meeting sponsorship program, which will allow members who live in places where there are no SCA meetings to get some of the help they need in order to acquire the tools of recovery.
-
Such members, scattered throughout the world, provide the building blocks out of which new meetings grow. Current examples of the above are Boston, and now Seattle. If you would like to become and out-of-meeting sponsor, please contact our In reach Chair at sca.iso.inreach@gmail.com.

The next NY Intergroup meeting will be held Sunday, July 10th at 3 pm in the LGBT Center, a week later than normal, due to the 4th of July holiday. There is no June Intergroup meeting.
